- Summary of Job Duties
- The City of Aurora is currently looking for Concessions Worker for the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. Employees must be able to work at any of the City of Aurora locations that have a concession stand, depending on customer service needs. The Concessions Worker performs a variety of routine tasks related to working in a concession stand.

- PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Concessions Worker performs routine tasks as follows:
- Ensures that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment
- Greets and acknowledges every customer
- Maintains outstanding standards
- Prepares food and beverages
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience: Equivalent training and experience that will demonstrate required knowledge, abilities and skills.
Knowledge: Knowledge of cash handling procedures and food preparation.
Abilities: Ability to maintain a safe environment at work site. Must be available to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
Skills: Skills necessary to operate food preparation equipment, a cash register and/or computer. Must be able to provide outstanding customer service and appropriately represent the City of Aurora to all customers.
Minimum age: 16 years of age
Licenses, certificates or equipment required: This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment (e.g. vehicle, cell phone, tools, etc.) in the course of their employment.
- WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Moderate physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds with or without assistance; frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds; regular walking and standing; regular climbing, bending, kneeling and crouching; vision to read instructions; hearing and speech communication for communication with employees and citizens.
Work Environment: Works both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions with exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, water and other conditions found in an outdoor environment.
Equipment Used: Operates equipment related to food preparation operations.
