  • Overview

    Leads and directs inspection team and lends advanced knowledge and experience of Click Bond Inc. parts to develop protocols and standards for the Quality Assurance Inspection personnel. When required by reasonable availability, inspects or measures internally manufactured products or procured products and materials to verify compliance with Click Bond or customer furnished engineering drawings and procedures. Serves as primary contact for problems found by the inspection team. Performs process audits to ensure compliance to documented procedures. Coordinates training of inspectors.


    • Produce reports of inspection acceptance or non-conformance and make appropriate computerentries and provide inspection support as necessary.
    • Coordinates the inspection schedule, priorities and staff assignments, as directed by the Supervisor.
    • May compile, write and deliver training material on quality standards and activities to the inspectionteam.
    • Serves as a Quality Assurance resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting andcontinuous improvement.
    • Communicates problems to area of occurrence, help facilitate and document Root Cause CorrectiveAction activities
    • Stamp mark of approval for procured product, internally produced product or appropriate shippingdocumentation.
    • Reviews data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with companypolicies and procedures
    • Reports to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
    • Stays active and alert to all processes throughout the production day.
    • Assures that inspection personnel are following controlled QEMS (Quality and EnvironmentalManagement Systems) procedures by performing process audits.
    • Use inspection devices (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, vision systems, CMM (CoordinateMeasurements Machine etc.) to determine product compliance with engineering drawings,purchase orders and associated aerospace specifications.
    • Assists with documentation of inspection process
    • Completes projects as directed by Supervisor or management.
    • Maintains a working knowledge of the QEMS.
    • Makes entries in the Click Bond MRP computer system

    • Other duties as may be assigned.


    • Able to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, procedures and written information.
    • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment and includes appropriate people in decision-making process.
    • Consistently at work and on time.

    • Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person of an alternate plan.
    • Has working knowledge of Lean Principles and process improvement methodologies

    Education and/or Experience

    • Associate Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar or related position preferred.
    • Minimum high school diploma and 5 years related quality assurance experience and /or training.
    • Certifications: ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) required or 10 years equivalent experience. ASQ CQT (Certified Quality Technician) and CQA (Certified Quality Auditor), CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate), CQPA (Certified Quality Process Analysist), and Six Sigma Greenbelt highly desirable.
