Job Description
- Process monthly batch rents, wires and ACH payments, including batch rent analysis, recording deferred monthly rent journal entries and manual rent payments.
- Work in unison with other analysts to prepare and audit percentage rent statements up to and including generating payments for percentage rent stores.
- Review and analyze monthly transactions, maintain amortization schedules and ensure general ledger is updated to reflect monthly activity.
- Reconcile multiple accounts including construction allowance (asset and liability accounts), prepaid rent, accounts receivable and other assets. Interact with other departments to resolve variances.
- Follow-up with Lease Administration on outstanding construction allowance receivable balances and work with landlords to collect funds and rectify outstanding amounts
- Evaluate and seek explanations for actual versus budget variances for minimum rent.
- Review leases and prepare audit packages.
- Handle landlord calls in a timely and professional manner as they pertain to rent, percentage rent, sales statement inquiries and default letters.
- Respond to Defaults in a timely manner.
- Provide training and guidance to other department members and assist management in resolving issues that may arise.
- Assist with Budgeting/Forecasting and other special projects as assigned.
-Process journal entries as needed.

Required Qualifications
-1+ year's experience working with account reconciliations, preparing journal entries and account analysis.

Preferred Qualifications
- Budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Customer service and negotiation skills are imperative.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience utilizing an automated general ledger system is required.
- Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- PeopleSoft and SAP experience
- Tririga experience

Education
-Bachelors degree required. Major in Accounting or Finance preferred.
