Job Description

Objective

Processes and maintains scheduling records of the home health consumer in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the agency. Process, maintain, compile, and report patient information regarding coverage of ordered services and communications with consumers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required; college or technical school preferred
  • Background in home health agency scheduling preferred.
  • One years of scheduling experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in office data systems, windows - based operating system and strong data entry skills.
  • Ability to relate to clients, families and co-workers in a courteous and diplomatic manner.
  • Ability to carry out varied job duties without supervision.

  • ? Must demonstrate intermediate skills in agency data systems.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • ? Possession of a valid state Driver's License with reliable transportation and applicable car insurance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • ? Ability to regularly sit, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, crouch, crawl, push, pull, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
  • ? Ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • ? Ability to occasionally climb.
  • ? Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • ? Ability to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth     perception.
  • ? Ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • ? Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • ? The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate.
  • ? There is no or very limited exposure to physical risk.

TRAVEL:

  • The employee is required to travel infrequently to complete agency business.
