In this position of manager of Family Aftercare Services, you will oversee a small but critical department that provides comprehensive and compassionate follow up and support for donor families.  In communicating with over 2500 families each year, you are responsible for writing letters, editing, proofreading and guiding your aftercare team to provide ongoing connection to Donor Network of Arizona and to the meaning of donation.  You must be able to write at a professional and nuanced level.  In the period of one year, you will have sent out over 40,000 letters to families.  You must do this with great care and diligence.   You will sometimes have direct contact with donor families for crisis intervention and direct bereavement support.  Overall, you must be an empathetic and excellent communicator.  A majority of your contact with families will be over the phone so you must have highly developed and sensitive phone skills.

You will need strong organizational and multitasking abilities.  You must have excellent computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Office programs as well as learn new applications specific to donation.

You will be part of an organization that sees donation beyond a clinical endeavor to a human endeavor that speaks to generosity and kindness as the values that underlie the decision for donation.
