What you will do:

 

Responsible for all assigned tasks relating to the maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.*Demonstrate internal Company Values at all times.

 

2.*Under manager guidance, assist with repairs on cooling and heating systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures and electrical systems, as required as instructed to do so by supervisor and work orders.

 

3.* Perform Landscaping duties as needed.

 

4.*Complete any required documentation, requisitions, work orders, or maintenance records, and submits information to the Manager.

 

5.*Care for and store tools and supplies for the maintenance department.

 

6.*Performs minor and specialized painting of walls, floors, ceilings and related fixtures.

 

7.*With guidance from Manager, perform new construction as required by work orders or Manager.

 

8.*Report safety, maintenance and security issues at Goodwill facilities.

 

9.*Assist with inventory control of all maintenance equipment.

 

10.*Work with contractors, employees, and program participants.

 

11.*Assist with security problems which may occur at odd hours; make emergency repairs as needed.

 

12.*Use tools and equipment properly; practice safe work procedures.

 

13.*Operate vehicles and equipment in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

 

14.Maintain the security of all assigned keys.

 

15.Follows all company and department policies and procedures.

 

16.Follow all safety rules: Reports accidents or injuries immediately.

 

17.Assist in other areas as requested.

 



Must Haves:
1.Knowledge of commonly used concepts of working with electrical, plumbing, welding, cooling and heating systems, basic carpentry, building repairs, basic automobile mechanical skills, painting, and the proper use of paints and solvents.

 

2.Ability to properly use all test equipment related to the maintenance department.

 

3.Possess current Arizona driver’s license and an acceptable (as identified by our auto insurance carrier) 39-month motor vehicle report

 

4.Ability to read and properly use wiring diagrams, technical manuals and blueprints.

 

5.Ability to follow proper troubleshooting techniques in performing maintenance duties.

 

6.Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and be able to stand for long periods at a time; bend, reach and stretch repeatedly during a shift.

 

7.Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.

 

8.Ability to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends).

 

9.Dependable and prompt.

 

10.Ability travel to all Goodwill sites on a regular basis as necessary.

 

11.Ability to work in all weather conditions, moving trucks and forklifts, and moderate noise levels.

 

12.Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks with minimum supervision.

 

13.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all individuals.
