The Wealth Advisory Services Market Leader III is responsible for overall management and performance of a regional Wealth Management market/office and primary Business Development Officer in the market.
1. Wealth Advisory Services Market Management:
a. Provides leadership and direction over the sales process within assigned market and champions new prospects and goals.
b. Develops and makes recommendations for annual budgets, sales plans and goals, and other business/financial goals and objectives. Operates within the market in a manner which achieves intended results.
c. Participates as needed with Wealth Advisors and Business Development Officers on joint calls with clients, prospects, centers of influence, parties in interest and prospective new clients.
d. Directs and/or engages in a variety of client relationship management activities.
e. Participates with the Wealth Management team in developing and implementing strategic plans.
f. Participates and is a member of the bank's leadership team
2. Wealth Advisory Services Sales:
a. Creates and implements business plans for sales activities, such as lead and referral generation, identification of and introduction to centers of influence, and community outreach.
b. Becomes a trusted advisor for prospective clients, including establishing rapport, developing a strong partnership, providing financial planning services, accurately describing Wealth Advisory services, and securing new relationships.
c. Identifies and secures additional revenue potential from existing clients, business relationships and other sources.
d. Meets or exceeds annual new fee sales goals.
e. Participates in community and business activities to enhance the image position and success of Heartland Financial USA, Inc. & Wealth Management and to develop new business for the organization.
3. Trust Compliance:
a. Is knowledgeable with all policies, procedures, applicable laws, regulations and established business practices.
b. Utilizes all software systems to meet sales requirements and to provide data to management as required.
c. Achieves agreed-upon necessary continuing education to maintain certifications, designations or degrees, or complete required education to obtain same.
d. Maintains adequate knowledge of all bank services to make appropriate referrals and meet established annual referral goals.
e. Completes annual E-Learning Plan and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) training as assigned and keeps up-to-date knowledge of BSA as it relates to the job function.
4. Performs other duties as assigned
This position does have supervisory responsibilities.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in business related field
2. 7-9 years of experience in wealth management, personal trust, or investment management sales
3. Advanced skills using MS Office; Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
4. Familiarity with trust accounting software a plus
5. Prior supervisory experience required
6. 3 or more years of management experience required
7. CFP or similar designation desired.
