RN (Registered Nurse) Inpatient Rehab Per Diem

Per Diem (As Needed) Position
This is an opportunity to work 3 shifts a week, 12 hours each, on an inpatient rehab unit at Northwest Medical Center. The shift is 7 AM - 7:30 PM on a 13 bed acute rehab unit that serves neurologic, stroke, orthopedic, cardiovascular, and complex medical patients.
The rehab team at Northwest is collaborative and provides integrated services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy with rehab nursing, to assist patients in returning to living independently in their communities. This is a rewarding unit and is ranked in the top 10% of rehabilitation units in the nation.
Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
