Accountemps is seeking candidates for an excellent Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity. Do you multitask effectively and have exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management skills? In this role, you will carry out all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including but not limited to preparing financial statements, and establishing and preserving accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. This short-term temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Tucson, Arizona.

Your responsibilities in this role

- Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

- Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time

- Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules

- Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

- Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents

- Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows

- Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

- Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll

Requirements
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

- Highly organized and self-motivated

- High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

- Comprehensive knowledge of full charge bookkeeping

- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

- Experience with payroll preferred

- Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus

- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

- 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

- Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting
