The Patient Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to the Physician and Physician team. The Patient Coordinator will maintain the physicians schedule, assist in daily clinic flow, enter patient orders into patient electronic medical record, pre-certify and/or obtain referrals for surgeries, scans, injections and any other treatment ordered. Respond to patient phone calls and triage patient phone calls as appropriate.

Requirements
This role will primarily support our Spine Service Line. Will be required to travel to other Summit sites and Outreach locations.

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or training in a clinical specialty such as medical assistant or athletic trainer preferred.

Minimally qualified candidates will have at least 2 years medical office experience in a busy clinic setting.

Medical Assistant or other clinical specialty training is required. Excellent time management and organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment required.

Experience with Med reconciliation is strongly preferred.

Candidates must have availability to work between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. with flexibility.
