Position Summary

Dr. Jing Pu’s lab in the Department of Molecular Genetics & Microbiology is looking for a Research Assistant.

This position will collect, process, and assist in the compilation and verification of research data and samples following protocols. They will record and report research data to supervisor and will set up operation and maintenance of a new research/lab. This position will also be responsible for organizing, stocking and monitoring reagent inventories.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities which may include practicum.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in following research protocol and procedures
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting scientific data
  • Experience in following complex, detailed technical instructions
